At Secret Cellar Collection, we believe the most memorable wines aren’t always the ones you find in the most obvious places. They're hidden gems from small family-run vineyards, from budding winemakers, or passionate small scale operations. The low intervention wines crafted in batches too small to make it onto the shelves of the average bottle store. The bottles that taste like the soil, sun and soul of the place they were made.

Why I started Secret Cellar Collection

I didn’t start my wine journey swirling glasses and speaking French. Like many South Africans, I began with the humble, budget friendly 'Papsak'. I have grown into the love of wine, guided by a few people who have been instrumental in my wine journey.

I know I have been very lucky to have some down-to-earth wine lovers to show me the truth about wine: it is meant to be enjoyed, shared, and talked about without anyone feeling they need to learn an entirely new language to join the conversation.

Wine is made for family and friends. It is made for bringing strangers together. It is made for living and connecting with our world.

So, I set out to make wine discovery FUN again. That means:
